Celebrating Easter

As those first pops of spring color finally start to show up, everything feels just a little bit lighter (well maybe not today; it’s cold and damp). Whether you’re gearing up for a chaotic family dinner, hidden chocolate treasures around the house, or just a quiet long weekend, I’m sending a big Happy Easter your way. It’s such a great time of year to just stop for a second and appreciate a fresh start.

Of course, being 2026, the holiday always comes with that nagging question: Do I need to post about this?

Social media is a bit of a double-edged sword during the holidays. On one side, it’s a lovely way to wave “hello” to the people you don’t get to see every day. A quick photo or a cheerful message can be a nice digital hug for friends across the country. It’s small, it’s easy and it keeps those connections alive.

But then there’s the flip side—the feeling that if you didn’t post the perfect photo of your table setting, did the meal even happen? We’ve all been there, taking pictures of our delicious food instead of actually eating or being present.

The trick is figuring out what feels natural to you. For some, sharing a beautiful moment online is part of the fun—it’s how they celebrate. For others, the most “natural” thing is to keep the phone tucked away and stay completely present in the room. There’s no right or wrong here. If you’re a “share the joy” person, go for it! But if you’d rather just soak in the quiet and skip the scrolling, that’s just as valid.

The best way to spend a holiday is the way that leaves you feeling refreshed, not drained. So, whether you’re sharing your day with the world or keeping it all to yourself, I hope your Easter is full of fresh air, good laughs and plenty of peace.
